Mexico equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the S&P/BMV Industrials Select, Consumer Goods & Services and S&P/BMV Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA), which rose 3.21% or 1.29 points to trade at 41.45 at the close. Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA) added 2.92% or 0.25 points to end at 8.81 and Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA) was up 2.72% or 0.34 points to 12.85 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO), which fell 5.04% or 0.46 points to trade at 8.66 in late trade. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GCARSOA1) declined 4.49% or 6.28 points to end at 133.63 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) down 1.82% or 0.84 points to 45.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 139 to 105 and 14 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
Shares in Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA) rose to all time highs; rising 3.21% or 1.29 to 41.45.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.84% or 61.75 to $3,286.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.23% or 0.15 to hit $65.09 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.28 to trade at $66.41 a barrel.
